…….Some Nonsense……….

19 04 2007

How dare to do in Public………….

I admit it went a little overboard but that was not the intention,” ——Shilpa Shetty on Richard Gere’s repeated kisses on her cheeksDon’t know how people go mad and loose consciousness.  At least some of it could have been avoided.  Some might say that there is no fault in Richard Gere’s act but at least he could have made a second thought before he went for that.  The custom and communities were different, and he was there for something good (an event to promote AIDS awareness).  The actress herself is saying “it went a little overboard” but she has no complaint………   I hope this is not the way of promoting AIDS awareness.  Very much discouraging to see such nonsense from people whom we admire most……….

I strongly feel that friends are really blessings who can be of greate help by sharing the loads of our daily life which we carry alone all through our life.   I am looking for friends who can be true in all aspects…………..If you can be such a friend, willing to share a lot, ….jokes, laughs,……. thoughts, so on….but expecting only a true freidnship in return,…..please feel free to contact me at bijumonjoseph@gmail.com.   Just remember I don’t mind of having friends of any color, tastes, locality, age or sex……

Even the Americans are………..

11 01 2007

There are 744,313 homeless in the United States, according to the first nationwide population estimate in a decade, published by the US National Alliance to End Homelessness.

The figure was calculated in January 2005 and only represents a snapshot of the homelessness problem in this country, which is likely much bigger, the advocacy group said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The reality is that the homeless population is quite fluid – people move in and out of homelessness and most are homeless for short periods of time,” it said. “Many more people experience homelessness over the course of the year.”

The head counting found 56 per cent of homeless in the United States slept in shelters or transitional housing, while 44 per cent lived in the streets

Studies had counted between 250,000 to three million homeless Americans.
